The Story

The 30 hectare estate is set on a mix of gravel, iron and mineral soil with a scattering of sand throughout. Written Notes

Dark purple colour with violet hue and almost black core. Fine and initially slightly close nose with elegant fruit reminiscent of blackberries and blackcurrants, plums and hints of elderberries. In the background fine toasting, subtle oak and mild spices. On the palate well structured with ripe tannins, mature fruit, elegant toasting and gingerbread spices, balanced with good depth and convincing length.

Croizet Bages CC - 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Jean-Philippe Quié and his sister Anne-Francoise have successfully improved the quality here in the recent vintages. It was quite an aromatic, complex and well-composed wine with elegance and finesse, juicy and vivid. Delicate and lingering finish. Gorgeous wine with an identity. 92-93p.
