Written Notes

Pichon Baron - 81% C. Sauvignon + 19% Merlot.  Very intense nose of blackcurrants and tobacco, minty, tight, dense, fatty, and luscious on the palate with a strong backbone. Vibrant with great mid-palate. A complete wine with great complexity, rich, and excellent length. Mega long aftertaste. Tremendous effort. 98-99p.

Ruby.
Blackberries, anise, cassis, intense, fruit driven, layered, scented and layered, refined nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, dark fruits, liquorice, some spices, juicy, layered, intense, cassis, incredible fruit and depth, and refreshing and playful, and it goes on for ever. The greatest Pichon Baron I havet tasted. Minutes of aftertaste.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Powerful nose with refined aroma, ripe blackcurrants, blackcurrant spurs, sweet cherries and hints of sloe in the background. Complemented by dark chocolate and gingerbread spices, fine toasting. On the palate excellent structure with ripe tannins, juicy and sweet fruit, elegant toasting and noble spices. A wonderful wine with excellent depth and length.
