This wine has a dark red colour. The bouquet features ripe fruit aromas. Swirling unveils the light complexity of this sun-bathed vintage. Balanced and discrete woody hints supplement the aromatic palette. It starts off being very generous and full bodied, two characteristics of this vintage. Rich round tannins enhance the middle palate and finish.
Definitely this 2015 Saint-Emilion is a great third wine!

Written Notes

Quintus 2015 was yummy, full of perfectly ripe sweet fruit, silky and captivating. 93+p. Dragon deQuintus 2015 was a more concentrated copy of 2017. 87p.

Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black core. Elegant nose with wonderful spiciness, dark berries, black cherries and ripe elderberries. On the palate well structured with ripe and quite massive tannins, elegant spiciness and juicy fruit, excellent length.

Closed and subtle. Pretty powerful and weighty. Loads of fruit in the palate with medium long finish. Somehow the wine was not open at the moment when I tasted. Ir would need longer time to wake up. It also came to be a bit alcoholic in mouth and comparatively the second wine, Le Dragon de Quintus did give a lot of freshness and surprise. 90-92

Deep colour. Dark plum, dark chocolate with ginger notes. Rich and chocolaty with dark plum slight saline notes, savoury cedar oak notes, plush tannins and mineral length. Alcoholic kick at the finish. Very good concentration. 92 points

Quintus Saint Emilion Grand Cru - 76% Merlot 24% Cabernet Franc Deep purple, the nose shines, very polished, lovely menthol tinged black fruit, beautiful aromatics, and there is intensity as well as opulence here, layered, spicy, quite a stunning palate, rides effortlessly into the finale which is spice inflected and chalky. It is so well balanced won't be long before its showing if it doesn't close down. 93-95/100, 2022-2050
