The Story

The Heitz name is so deeply ingrained in the culture of Cabernet connoisseurs that some people are surprised to discover we have been making Chardonnay since the winery was founded in 1961.

“Today, our Chardonnay has a classic, lively fruitiness and richness on the palate that captures the essence of the varietal.

The fruit for our Chardonnay comes from various clones and regions within the Napa Valley which results in a delicious dry wine with subtle, intriguing layers. We use oak sparingly to let the flavors and the flintiness from the terroir shine.” Kathleen Heitz Myers, President

Wine Information

Tasting Notes: All of the best elements of the varietal are seamlessly aligned in our 2014 Napa Valley Chardonnay.

This rich, complex Chardonnay is surprisingly bright and elegant on the palate. Lush aromatics open effortlessly into flavors of ripened melon and apricot. A creamy texture mid-palate is nicely balanced with refreshing acidity and mineral notes that carry the wine to a long, lovely finish.
