Established in 1849, Champagne Pol Roger remains family-owned and proudly independent to this day. Written Notes
Good looking half size bottle, in an good condition and level is 4cm ullage below the cork. Colour is gold, and looking evolved and deep. On the nose it is intense, mature, refined, opulent, rich and charming. The taste is harmonious, elegant, silky, refined, and medium-dry, and low in acidity, medium-bodied, with balanced structure and mature. On the palate it is layered and has dried-fruit, perfumed, tropical fruits, vanilla, honey, mineral and charcoal flavours. The finish is medium long, round, smooth and gentle. This wine is sophisticated, transparent and fine. I paid around 1k-3k€ a bottle. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 1-5 years and decant at least 5min before tasting. Good value for money.
