Ried (single vineyard, cru) Lamm is situated on the southeast slope of the Heiligenstein. Beside erosion material from Heiligenstein (perm, red siltstone) a high proportion of clay can be found. The vineyard is south-facing and very well exposed. This helps develop the grapes for a wine that, after maturation in traditional double-foudre casks from local forest of Manhartsberg, result in a wine with power and elegance.

Colour is green-yellow and light. On the nose it is open, intense, complex and refined. The taste is focused, fragrant, firm, vivid, harmonious, and dry, and average in acidity, full-bodied, with concentrated, perfectly balanced structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has honey, herbs, mineral and viscous flavours. The finish is long and lingering. This wine is sophisticated and fine. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 10-15 years and decant at least 2h before tasting.
