Wine Spectator 95 p /  An elegant Champagne, powered by a sculpted frame of acidity and minerality, this wears the refined, lacy mousse and well-meshed flavors of black currant, lemon curd, toast and marzipan like finely tailored clothing. Fresh and lasting, with hints of spice and smoke on the finish.

The 1998 La Grande Dame is a wine of pure beauty and power.

A majority blend of Pinot Noir, the vintage conditions are clearly visible in the glass with flavo...

2008 -The Champagne vintage set to make history!

2008 was not, by any standards, a vintage year for the financial world. And for the greater part of it, 2008 was a pretty poor year for Champagne too: spring was freezing, summer gloomy and overcast. But then, aroun...

2008 La Grande Dame is radiant, supple and voluptuous, with all of the generosity of the year front and center. Candied lemon, almond, chamomile, brioche and baked apple tart develop in a rich, inviting champagne that will drink beautifully upon release. A wine of pure and total pleasure.

Good looking normal size bottle and in an perfect condition. Colour is yellow, and looking bright, clear and medium. On the nose it is intense, fresh, complex and seductive. The taste is fresh, fruity, and dry, warming, and high in acidity, with well-integrated structure and developing. On the palate it is layered and has floral, white fruits, citrus and bread flavours. The finish is long, extensive and a bit too sharp .. This wine is impressive. I paid around 100-200€ a bottle. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 10-15 years and decant at least 15min before tasting. Good value for money. I do recommend.
