Written Notes

Basket-pressed, therefore some skin contact in the press. Cask sample.
Intense aroma of spiced citrus. Grapefruit, bitter orange, spice. Mouth-filling sweet-sour richness but perhaps less nuanced than the Niersteiner wines, less layered. Though the sample is quite warm now (I am tasting this last in the line-up) and is not flattered by the temperature. Explosive flavours, more power than finesse. Impressive, as always, but not my favourite wine in the Kellers’ range. Long, salty finish.
