Harlan Estate and BOND appoint Kerry Wines as China distributor
Napa Valley icon Harlan Estate and BOND, pet project of Harlan’s owner Bill Harlan, have announced a partnership with Kerry Wines to be their distributor in China.
Kerry Wines, one of the leading fine wine distributors in China and Hong Kong, has become one of the direct distributors of Harlan Estate and BOND wines in PRC.
“We value deeply the shared passion for wine and professional expertise of Kerry Wines. I feel there is great alignment between us in our commitment to wine at the very highest level. It is a privilege to be working with them as our key distribution partner in the PRC,” Will Harlan, managing director of Domain H. William Harlan, commented.
Eric Desgouttes, general manager of Kerry Wines Greater China, said: “We are honoured to add these brands to our portfolio. They are truly Napa’s first growths, without a doubt.”
Harlan Estate was founded in 1984 by H. William Harlan with the mission of establishing one of the finest winegrowing estates in America. The vision was to consistently produce a wine of the highest quality and great longevity from the estate – in essence, to create a “First Growth” of California.
BOND on the other hand, was established in 1996 by H. William Harlan and founding winemaker Bob Levy. Its aim is to create a portfolio of wines that are “Grand Cru” in quality, all under the axis of one philosophy, one team. Sourced from select hillside estates throughout the Napa Valley, the Cabernet Sauvignon wines of BOND vividly convey the distinctive characters of their respective sites of origin.
From the more than 100 vineyards with which the Harlan family and their winegrowing team have worked over the past four decades, they slowly and deliberately chose five properties to become part of BOND — signifying a shared commitment to “produce only the finest expression”.
Kerry Wines is the Kerry Group’s specialist fine wine arm. Founded in Hong Kong in 2010, it has offices in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
