The Story

Since the 17th Century, the first wine of Château Margaux has been recognised as being one of the greatest wines in the entire world. It owes its unique qualities to the genius of its terroir as well as to the passionate work of a succession of generations. Wine Information

It is interesting to note the commentary of the cellar master that despite the continuous rain, the harvest remained healthy which should not surprise us because we recently experienced a similar situation. Written Notes

This wine presents with a deep garnet color, showing signs of age with a slight brickish hue at the rim.

Aromas of dried dark fruits, such as prunes and black cherries, mingle with earthy notes of leather and tobacco. Subtle hints of cedar and spice add complexity to the bouquet.

Medium-bodied, the palate features flavors of dried berries and plums, accompanied by nuances of forest floor and a touch of vanilla. The tannins have softened with age, contributing to a smooth and velvety mouthfeel.

The finish is moderate in length, with lingering notes of dried fruit and a hint of dried herbs, ending on a pleasant and elegant note.

The 1907 Chateau Margaux represents a vintage of medium quality, offering a mature and nuanced tasting experience.

A very powerful wine, exceptionally concentrated, considered at the time a great vintage. We have not often had the opportunity to taste this this wine, which should still be of great quality.
