The Story

Château Lynch-Bages is one of those legendary estates that basically defined the stellar reputation of Pauillac. Sitting proudly on the "Bages" plateau—a prime, gravelly ridge overlooking the Gironde estuary—this property has serious history. It all kicked off in the 17th century with Thomas Lynch, an Irish-born Bordeaux merchant, and stayed in the family until 1824 back when it was just known as "Lynch cru." By 1855, its quality was undeniabl...

Wine Information

The 2025 Château Lynch-Bages is an absolute classic in the making, falling right into that sweet spot of early-ripening vintages that the estate has been nailing lately. Thanks to a smart growing season and spot-on timing, this wine brings a beautiful mix of deep concentration and stellar balance.

The Growing Season & Harvest:
The vines got a great start with solid winter water reserves, leading to a smooth, frost-free budbreak in late Mar...

Vintage 2025

The Bordeaux 2025 vintage is generating massive excitement across the wine world, following its official reveal at the April 2026 En Primeur tastings. Critics and merchants widely praise it as a highly successful, contemporary vintage shaped by an unusual but highly effective growing season.

Tasting note

This wine don't have enought notes yet

Written Notes

Lynch Bages: 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. 13.3% alcohol. Very intense nose of black fruit and violet, with notes of tobacco. Big tannins and a big concentration of creamy fruit, but everything is well-controlled, vibrant, has a great midpalate, and has a huge aftertaste. For me, this wine is definitely more classic than the 2022 vintage. Fabulous stuff. 97-98p.
