Château Pape Clément's red wines are vinified in oak casks. This favors uniform fermentation, unlike steel vats which are prone to temperature variations. Ruby. Dark fruits, anise, spices, blackberries nose, red fruits, layered, quite intense nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, dark fruits, blackberries and spices, intense, spices, fruit driven, alcohol warmth, long finish, dense stuff, almost a wall of fruit. 95

Tasted in March 2019. Packed with luscious fruit and fat tannin and had strong backbone, splendid complexity and long finish. Splendid effort for the vintage.

Dark purple red with violet hue and black core. Opulent nose with distinct smoky character, dark chocolate and toasting aroma, backed by intense fruit, blackcurrants and blackberries. On the palate well structured with firm but ripe tannins, convincing length
