History:
In addition to the existing Les Jalets red, Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné is now producing this white Crozes Hermitage.
Soil:
Produced from purchased grapes; vinified by Paul Jaboulet Aîné.
Grape Variety:
100% Marsanne.
Age of the vines:
25 years.
Vinification:
Harvested by hand into 25kg crates, then pressed directly so as to minimise the danger of oxidation, the wines are vinified in casks for 30% of the blend.
Ageing:
Malolactic fermentation is carried out in barrels and stirring enables the lees to remain in suspension. For the wines in vats, this malolactic fermentation occurs in the vats.
