The Story

Pol Roger recently celebrated its 150th anniversary and is perhaps best known as Winston Churchill's favourite Champagne. Established in 1849, Champagne Pol Roger remains family-owned and proudly independent to this day. Written Notes

Started with subtle aromas of orange blossom, apricot and peanut butter but build up to toasted brioche with honey, sunflower seeds and cinnamon. On palate so elegant, youthful and silky smooth with flavours of pistachio nuts, dry apricots, jasmine, sweet orange and wonderful fruity finish but not that long and mid palate missing. This wine is very shy and in order to appreciate to fullest needs attention to detail and patience for 1-2 hours after it's been open

Pale straw yellow, tiny bubbles. Apples and yeast on the nose, fruity and subdued. Fresh acidity, elegant texture and mousse. Not every BdB twist your tongue, this is more caressing, even if a somewhat richer style. Elegant and long.
