The Story

The chateau makes three different wines. The so-called grand vin, that is Château Latour itself, a second wine called Les Forts de Latour and a third wine simply called Pauillac. The grand vin comes from the original part of the vineyards, called the Enclos. This is the most prestigious part of the vineyard where the vines have a fine view of the Gironde estuary. The weather conditions

Generally unfavorable weather throughout the growing period.There were cold, wet periods and dry spells, then more rain and finally fine weather towards September and during the harvest. Quality was nevertheless adversely affected by the vagaries of the climate.
Harvesting began on 25 September.

A mature wine, rather tart, but quite tasty anyway. Quite light wine with lovely concentration and nice aftertaste. Not at all a failed shot!
