The Story

Blankiet's 'Bordeaux Medoc-blend' of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This wine is sheer power in a silk glove.

Paradise Hills Vineyard is located on the western foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains above Yountville in the cooler part of the Napa Valley. Grapes planted in this area take longer to mature on the vine allowing for riper tannins, darker pigmentation and deeply perfumed fruit. The vi...

Written Notes

Deep purple red colour. Pronounced, deliciously aromatic nose with great finesse – spices, cocoa, violets, and blackberries. Full-bodied palate has a texture that is rich yet sophisticated. Vivid acidity balances well the ripe fruitiness, and silky tannins integrate harmonously to the taste. Cassis and licorice flavours escorts the spicy and warm aftertaste. A solid wine that needs time to deliver its potential (95-97 points). So, its worth cellaring for 5-10 years still. If served now, decant for 5 hours and serve 17-18°C with Beef Wellington or Tournedos Rossini. JL 93p (12/2020)
