A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8.8% Merlot, 2.9% Cabernet Franc, and 2.3% Petit Verdot.
Deep, garnet-ruby colour. Dense and intense nose is complex and youthful has plenty of aromas from dark cacao to ripe dark berries from blackcurrants to brambles and blueberries. The aromas are topped with spicy, toasty, graphite and cedar notes. On palate, the wine is full-bodied with satiny texture. VIbrant fresh dark berry fruit is swaddled with toasty spiciness and dark chocolate flavours. Very refined and lingering palate. A classic Blankiet Proprietary Red being rich but not luscious. Although the wine is hold still back a bit, it is seductive but will show its true glory in 10 years from now. A perfect choice for Tournedos Rossini. – JL 97+p (Nov 2024)
