Written Notes

The 2018 Rive Droite Paradise Hills Vineyard is magnificent in 2018. Rich and explosive with tremendous density and volume, this bottling deftly demonstrates how compelling this wine can be in a favorable vintage with no heat extremes. On the palate, the 2018 is sensual and alluring, with tremendous volume and tons of pure raciness. A rush of chocolate, new leather, licorice, menthol and pine builds into the huge, voluptuous finish. This is such a gorgeous wine.

Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is purple and deep. On the nose it is youthful, open, generous, seductive, ripe, charming, pure, fresh and rich. The taste is elegant, fruity, perfumed, fragrant, toasty, fat, refined, robust, full, voluptuous, rich, with silky tannins, and average in acidity, full-bodied, with concentrated, well-integrated, perfectly balanced, well-structured structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has blackcurrant, chocolate, spice, toasty, perfumed, floral, coffee and blackberry flavours. The finish is long, vibrant, spicy, flavorful, lingering and extensive. This wine is outstanding. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 10-15 years.
