Written Notes

Tasted in October 2019. 82% CS + 18% M. 14.03% alcohol. Reminde a lot of 2016, but more massive wine here and with more concentration. Stupendous style.

Ruby. Blueberries, anise, some spices, liquorice nose. Lightly scented and floral. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, anise, blueberries and spices, some cassis notes, long. 92-94

  • 94p

Deep colour. Very attractive wine with cassis blackberry aniseed aromas and mocha, espresso notes. Geveiusly proportioned and inky with deep set creme de cassis, blackberry fruits, brambly textures and vigorous finish. Plenty of energy and life for the long term.

  • 96p

Dark purple red colour with violet hue and black core. A great classic with fine fruit and discreet spiciness, subtle oak. On the palate rich yet elegant, with excellent depth and length, sweet tannins and aromatic fruit.
