Immense vin, avec de la salinité immédiate en attaque, beaucoup de profondeur veloutée et un dynamisme brillant en bouche. Toucher de tannin satiné et raffiné
: déjà un grand moment d’émotion.

  • 98p

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Inviting dark berry fruit, blackberry, fresh cherry, delicate oak savouriness, with candied orange zest in the background. Juicy, tightly woven, ripe dark berries, integrated, supporting tannins, lively structure, chalky freshness, sticks well, red berry nuances on the finish, a lively, animating style, no trace of opulence, salty aftertaste, good length and sure maturity and certain ageing potential.

  • 98p

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Stunning nose with complexity displaying the typical "limestone-character", opulent fruit, blackberries, currants and ripe plums, juicy black cherries, hints of cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon, vanilla in the background. Dark chocolate and hints of cocoa powder, floral hints almost reminiscent of violets. On the palate well structured and balanced with opulent character, excellent tannin, rich fruit, complex finish. The best Pavie ever tasted en primeur.

  • 99p

The depth and intensity is really out of this world. The richness is there, but it's all in balance and has an almost weightless feel to it. It's medium- to full-bodied with purity and definition, and the magic of limestone soils keeps the pH low, giving energy, bright acidity and verve. Terrific young red. 51% merlot, 32% cabernet franc and 17% cabernet sauvignon.
