The Story

Château Trotte Vieille is a 1er (Premier) Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion and Borie-Manoux highest classified and most prestigious Château. Trottevieille is a very old estate. Written Notes

Garnet red with brick red hue. Very elegant and expressive nose, roasted chestnuts, gingerbread, cardamom, cloves, wet tobacco leaf, hints of very fine leather, prunes and hints of candied blackberries. On the palate elegant, a great wine with complexity, aromatic depth, a wonderful tension on the palate, with hints of chocolate coated dried fruits, velvety character and incredible length. Great perfection.

  • 100p

Tasted at the property in April 2018. Well-matured wine, keeping well, well-balanced and tasty. Very good complexity and length. Still lively wine.
