The Story

Dominus is created by French winemaker Christian Moueix, who crafted the wines of Chateau Petrus (a bottle of which recently sold at auction as one of the most expensive wines ever sold). The Dominus estate owns the historic Napanook Vineyard that was the base of so many of the historic Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignons of the 1950s and 1960s. It is considered one of the finest reds of Napa Valley.

Wine Information

DOMINUS 1994

The 1994 Dominus follows the 1992, as there was no release from the 1993 vintage.

Comparable in quality to the 1991 Dominus, the 1994 is a deeply colored, dense wine with substantial but supple tannins. Luscious to drink now, its concentration suggests a long future.

The blend includes 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot.

As with all Dominus wines, we recommend decanting this win...
