The Story

Born from the expertise of Carol Duval-Leroy and her head winemaker, Sandrine Logette-Jardin, the elegant shape of the bottle holds all the charm and grace of a great Champagne.

Cuvee Femme de Champagne Rosé de Saignée symbolizes the savoir-faire of the House of Duval-Leroy.

2008 -The Champagne vintage set to make history!

A first taste of leading winemakers’ 2008 champagnes reveals a miraculous vintage, bubbling with potential, which – whisper it – might just prove the greatest in living memory.

Written Notes

An exceptionally rare prestige rosé crafted via the traditional saignée method (maceration of skin-contact Pinot Noir from top Grand Cru sites), capturing the rare union of 100% Pinot Noir intensity, barrel vinification, and the legendary, high-acid structure of the landmark 2008 vintage.

The nose is brooding, aristocratic, and deeply complex, opening with wild alpine strawberries, dried cranberries, and blood orange zest, layered over tertiary notes of dried rose petals, forest floor, warm brioche, toasted hazelnuts, and a distinct flinty chalkiness. On the palate, the wine possesses incredible vinous weight and structural command. A delicate, micro-fine mousse cushions a concentrated core of tart red fruit and dark citrus peel, while the electrifying, razor-sharp beam of 2008 acidity cuts through the wine's natural richness with effortless grace. It concludes on an extraordinarily long, bone-dry, and salivary finish, echoing with lingering pomegranate skin, savory spice, and a pure chalk-saline mineral grip.
