The 2008 Cristal Rosé Late-Released marks another special release celebrating Roederer’s 150th Anniversary. Intriguingly, this Rosé appears to benefit somewhat less from extended aging on the lees and poignettage compared to its Blanc counterpart. IOn the palate, the mousse is remarkably fine, tactile, and saline. Prolonged aging sur lattes has imparted a juicier, more supple feel that harmonizes effortlessly with the intense chalky freshness of the 2008 vintage. Gaining added body and structure while preserving its laser-like precision, the mid-palate reveals a rich, oily texture laced with subtle smoke, underscoring its deeply gastronomic nature before closing on a long, zesty, and mouthwatering mineral finish.
