Côte Rôtie on yksi Ranskan vanhimmista viljelmistä. Tarina mukaan lordi de Maugiron jakoi maansa kahdelle tyttärelleen, yhdelle vaaleaverikölle ja yhdelle tummaverikölle, ja tästä syntyi viinien nimet Côte Brune ja Côte Blonde.

Very delicate for Côte-Rôtie, almost too delicate, reminding of a Burgundy wine. Polished wine that lacks bit of spicy edge that I always expect from good Côte-Rôtie.However, very well made but little souless. Maybe the ageing will bring out the wilder side of this wine. Decant at least 12 hours. Two-Michelin star chef Hans Välimäki would serve this Pan-fried Pigeon with caramellised nuts and creamy Jerusalem artichoke pure.
