Dom Ruinart cuvées: The origin of their grapes, exclusively Grand Crus, gives these cuvées, a high maturing potential provided that they are aged in optimum conditions of temperature, humidity and darkness, 10, 20 years or more depending on the vintage.

Vintage 1982

One of the decade’s best vintages, which can be excellently enjoyed already now. The winter was cold and the spring cool. The cold weather moved the start of the growth season and enabled the vines to avoid spring frosts. The inflorescences, which bloomed in June, enjoyed perfect conditions. So unbelievably lovely and classical this once coarse, unbalanced wine has become. Oily and sublime with vintage-typical maturity and equilibrian freshness, as well as a profile with liquorice aroma. Reminds one today of the wonderful 79 in a more syrupy and somewhat simpler version.
