<10 tasting notes
A rich Spätlese, lush with ripe and nuanced fruit in the nose; the artful balance of natural sweetness and bright acidity provides a powerful structure, distinctive minerality, and a long, lingering finish.
The Klosterberg borders the Kiedrich Turmberg and Kiedrich Gräfenberg - it is the third ‘Berg’ vineyard of Kiedrich. The name Klosterberg derives from the old path, the so-called ‘Klosterweg’, that crosses through the vineyards and links Kloster Eberbach to Kiedrich. The shallow to deep soil of the southwest facing cliffs are composed of Devonian (colored slate) and Pre-Devonian (phyllite and gneiss) rock interspersed with gravelly loess.
