Despite the early heat and mid vintage rains, vintage 2006 has produced wonderfully aromatic wines with rich textures and full palates. All parcels of fruit were fermented separately in either 8 tonne open fermenters or 6 tonne static potter fermenters. Deep crimson. Fresh dark chocolate, dark plum, blackberry fruits with graphite mineral notes. Well concentrated and impressively balanced wine with deep-set blackberry, dark cherry fruits, fine chocolaty/ grippy/ vigorous textures, attractive mid palate volume and well balanced dark chocolate/ roasted chestnut oak notes.
