An example of a rare occurrence: a good year that gets off to a late start. The coloring of the grapes began on August 22nd and the harvest took place in October. June was dry, July normal, August dry, September near normal. This year suffered from its proximity to the great year of 1961, but the 62's are very good, and they were slow to come around.
