Both firm and unctuous in style, the wine has individual character and an ageing potential which enables cellaring for decades. Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Aromatic nose with great precision, ripe blackcurrants, elderberries and hints of ripe damson. Fragrant hints of violets. Fine toasting and subtle oak. On the palate well structured with ripe tannins, mild acidity, elegant dark berries and black stone fruit, fine floral hints, gingerbread spices and subtle toasting in the background. Excellent depth and length.
