The Story

Cristal Rosé was first born a hundred years after the original Cristal, in 1974. It is an intriguing and particular prestige cuvée rosé, as it has the palest colour, yet a contrastingly fleshy, fruity, well-built palate of amazing freshness. Its secret is in the 60 per cent Pinot Noir from two hectares of Roederer’s own old-vine vineyards in Aÿ, Bonotte-Pierre-Robert and La Côte du Moulin, which are now cultivated according to biodynamic princ...

Vintage 2015

A wet winter and mild spring gave way to an exceptionally dry summer from mid-May onwards. Hot weather prevailed until mid-August, when the skies opened again. Rains gave way to fine, cool, yet sunny weather for the first two weeks of harvest, which commenced on August 29th. Written Notes

Cristal Rosé 2015 from Louis Roederer opens with a breathtakingly pure and delicate aromatic profile, where wild strawberry, raspberry, white peach, and blood orange mingle with notes of rosewater, subtle spice, and a refined, chalk-driven minerality. The palate is crystalline and poised, marrying finesse with quiet intensity. Silky, ultra-fine bubbles carry flavours of red berries, citrus zest, and stone fruits, supported by a vivid acidity that gives the wine a sense of lift and precision. As it unfolds, hints of pastry, almond blossom, and saline tension add further dimension. The finish is long, serene, and impeccably balanced, lingering with mineral clarity and refined red-fruit elegance. A superbly sculpted Cristal Rosé—radiant, precise, and destined for graceful evolution.
