A bold, innovative departure from Ruinart’s classic style, this unique 100% Chardonnay cuvée is born from warm-climate harvests (primarily 2018) and crafted using a bespoke approach—including extended oak-vat aging and higher proportions of base reserve wines—to reflect climate variations while preserving the house’s signature purity.
The nose is complex, textural, and distinctly aromatic, bursting with white peach, candied citrus peel, and yellow plum, deeply integrated with notes of white pepper, toasted almonds, lemon curd, and a subtle flick of woodsmoke and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine delivers a broad, vinous entry with a dense, mouth-coating mousse. While displaying a rich, sun-ripened fruit depth on the mid-palate, a razor-sharp, electric acidity cuts straight through the texture, bringing remarkable structural focus. It closes on a long, bone-dry, and intensely chalky-saline finish that echoes with lingering grapefruit pith and subtle spice.
