Château Haut-Hrion's tasting notes :The wine shows a very interesting nose complex as of a good year. Not so pleasant on the palate. Hints of resin and truffle lead to heavier, inelegant aromas. The structure is fine but a high volatile acidity leaves the mouth dry.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion has a history as deep as its roots. It was started way back in the 16th century by the de Lestonnac family, and by the 17th century, a group of Lazarist priests took over and really put it on the map. A very fine year, very hot and relatively dry. Because of the war, estates were not able to make the most of the vintage. An early growing season, with full flowering on May 29th.
