The final vintage produced by the Jesuits. Surprisingly youthful colour, with some purple still at the core, and cherry red at the rim. Disappointingly un-aromatic, though some raisin and mousey smells can be detected. The overwhelming smell, like the previous wines, is of alcohol (with something mousy and Brett-like underneath), suggesting that this too will be dried out on the palate. And it largely is… Juicy at the front, but it fades quickly on the finish, leaving only acidity and wistful thoughts of what it might have been in its youth… 86
