Written Notes

93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc are the blend for the vintage 2012. A wine with purple red colour and still violet hue. Excellent, almost opulent nose with fine fruit expression of mulberries and blackberries, hints of blackcurrants and violets in the background. Elegant spiciness reminiscent of nutmeg, cloves and hints of vanilla. On the palate a wonderful balance, juicy fruit, elegant spices, a full-bodied yet elegant character with fine tannins, creamy texture and convincing length. A wonderful wine which starts to open up quite well, showing a certain ageing potential.

Deep ruby, blueberries, some vanilla and liquorice. Layered and complex. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, quite fresh, fuller bodied, long and complex, verging on refined. 92-94
