Written Notes

An exotic blend of densely lush ripe fruits and savory spices leap from the glass. The viscous 2012 "Cariad" contains pure aromas of plum, licorice and dark currants with interplays of cardamom, barbecue spice and subtle smoke. Ethereal purple floral notes dance in the glass, while hints of gravel and wet stone bring gravity and a brooding tone. The wine is at once elegant and hedonistic.

Seductively textured with unctuous tannin, the palate is luxurious. Dense, coating and even salivating, the 2012 "Cariad" represents the optimum ripeness from Napa Valley, married with the pedigree of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines of the world. Blended of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot this will be an exceedingly long lived vintage of "Cariad."
