The Story

From an exceptional site that imparts earthy, ethereal notes of power and elegance, this signature cabernet reveals intense, deep layers of crème de cassis, barbecue smoke, graphite, blackberry and freshly cut flowers that excite the palate. Incredibly long and round, it is our rarest wine, the 2002 vintage achieving our first perfect score as “a wine of enormous concentration, multiple dimensions, layers of flavor, and a sensational one minut...

Wine Information

Allison Tauziet, winemaker at Colgin Cellars:

“The 2008 growing season was generally drier than average. Written Notes

"The 2008 vintage 'Tychson Hill' is elegant and feminine in nature. The nose reveals flavors of purple fruits, black cherries, honeysuckle and cardamom. While exhibiting this beautiful perfume, the wine also has many darker, more brooding notes of barbecue smoke, chocolate malt and charcoal. The texture is immediately silky on the palate, with a pleasing roundness and delicious length to the tannin. The elegance of this wine will persist as it ages, so I recommend a minimum of 3 years of cellar time before opening. The wine should age gracefully for 20 years or more."

We released 150 cases of the 2008 "Tychson Hill" Cabernet Sauvignon in March 2012.
