The Story

Château La Mission Haut-Brion has a history as deep as its roots. It was started way back in the 16th century by the de Lestonnac family, and by the 17th century, a group of Lazarist priests took over and really put it on the map. Written Notes

Tasted three times. Consistent notes. Contains 55% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. This was a very distinguished and sophisticated wine with silky tannins and silky texture. Great intensity and aroma of blueberry fruit. An exceptional piece of wine work. Good for keeping 20-25 years in the cellar.

Ruby, garnet rim. Richer nose, subdued perfumed notes behind Pessac- minerals, cassis and coffe notes. Fresh acidity, towards high of ripe tannins. Elegant would be pulling it but has a charm in its youthful roughness. Very long but needs another decade in the cellar.
