The 2019 vintage in coastal Tuscany is widely regarded as excellent. A relatively cool spring delayed the growing cycle, followed by a warm, stable summer with significant diurnal temperature variation. These conditions allowed for slow, even ripening, preserving freshness while achieving full phenolic maturity. The result is wines with balance, aromatic clarity and refined structure, particularly well-suited to Bordeaux-style blends such as Terra di Monteverro.
Deep ruby with garnet reflections. Aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum are layered with Mediterranean herbs, cedar and subtle spice. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, offering ripe dark berry fruit, cocoa and a touch of tobacco framed by fine-grained, well-integrated tannins. Fresh acidity provides balance and lift, leading to a smooth, harmonious finish with savoury and mineral nuances. A polished and approachable Tuscan blend with both elegance and structure.
