The Story

Our Chardonnay is a top quality wine with great character traits. The wine originates from a mini-plot on the best slope and is produced only in very small amounts. Written Notes

Bright yellow colour. A wonderful wine which needs some air to fully open up, the displaying an elegant aroma reminiscent of yellow stone fruit such as greengage, Mirabelle and pear, flowery components and tropical fruit. With some oxygen the wine reveals hints of nougat and candied fruits, hazelnuts and a discreet roasting aroma. On the palate this Chardonnay shows an elegant and well balanced oak influence with flavours of toasted oak, vanilla and discreet spiciness. The savoury character and refined minerality brings an excellent tension to this wine which presents a remarkable freshness although the hot vintage. A wine with excellent length.

Bright, green yellow colour. Very fresh and rich nose with broad and elegant toastiness, and lemony aromas. Dry and crisp medium-bodied palate. Great perception of pure yellow fruits and citrus, vivid spiciness and extremely well-integrated oak. Long and lingering finish with elegance. Drinking well already, but will deliver its true colour in 5-7 years of bottle ageing. Decant for 2 hours and serve at 10-12C with fried truffle risotto or creamy scampi pasta. – JL 93p (11/2018)
