The 2021 vintage in coastal Tuscany is widely regarded as outstanding. A relatively cool start to the season followed by a warm, dry summer with excellent diurnal variation allowed for slow, even ripening. The result is wines of precision, concentration and freshness, with Syrah showing exceptional aromatic clarity and structure.
Deep ruby with vibrant purple reflections. Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and plum are layered with black pepper, violet and Mediterranean herbs, alongside hints of smoked meat and graphite. The palate is full-bodied and structured, delivering concentrated dark fruit, spice and cocoa framed by firm, finely grained tannins. Bright acidity provides lift and precision, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish with lingering peppery and savoury complexity.
