The Story

Château Pichon Longueville de Lalande is ideally situated between the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. The variety of parcels of land, due to the elements of the earth and their encepagement explains the complexity of the personality of the wines of Pichon. Written Notes

Tasted three times - last time in June 2014. Not consistent notes. Deep red. Very aromatic, black cherries, great sweetness of fruit here. Very sophisticated and elegant, superbly structured and long on the palate. Simply a formidable wine. Below par in June 2014.

Bright ruby, touch of brick rim. Leather, anise, blackcurrants, complex, almost leaping out of the glass. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, very lively feel, elegant texture, pure and mouthwatering. Cedar and a touch of cigars and again that beautiful freshness, long length. 93
