It is utterly fantastic how youthful this wine still is. I remember that the first normally disgorged bottle that I tasted in 1989 was more developed and buttery than this recently disgorged wine was at Easter 2006! When newly poured it was practically free of aroma, before airing gradually succeeded in drawing out its green, grassy basic character. The flavour is as I said fascinatingly fresh, but there is also a hint of creaminess and notes of yellow floweriness here that are going to take years to develop fully. One day this wine might be magnificent thanks to its late blooming.
