The Story

The winemaker’s role is to reflect the best the terroir has to offer and to reproduce the intrinsic taste parameters that correspond to Domaine de Chevalier.

Olivier Bernard describes Domaine de Chevalier’s white wines: “Our aim is not to make the wine as fruity as possible at all costs. Measured extraction and barrel ageing create very complex wines – beautifully fresh, never heavy, and with an incredibly long aftertaste that “unfolds like...

Written Notes

Precise and decidedly solid in its sensory profile, it shows notes of black tea leaves, chamomile, orange juice and mixed spices. Full-bodied, incredibly silky in the sip it shows a solid presence and a finish of great stylistic character. Wow! Certainly one of the best expressions of the tasting. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Best since 2026.

80% C. Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% C. Franc and 5% P. Verdot. It's the first vintage with that much C. Sauvignon in the blend. 13% alcohol. Intense black- and redcurrants, crushed rocks, coffee beans, cigar box, graphite, fresh, fine structure and complexity. Persistent aftertaste. Splendid effort for the vintage. 94-95p.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core.  Very well structured wine with depth and length, the nose displays an aroma reminiscent of black stone fruit, ripe blackberries, elderberries and hints of slow. Elegant spiciness and fine minerality in the background. On the palate rather full-bodied with firm yet ripe tannins, juicy fruit, discreet spiciness and very convincing length.
