The Story

The winemaker’s role is to reflect the best the terroir has to offer and to reproduce the intrinsic taste parameters that correspond to Domaine de Chevalier.

Written Notes

Mild, ripe, well mannered nose. Leathery savoury but very confident wine that fills all corners of the palate. Vigorous. Still quite inky but there is lots of fruit here too. Very slightly subdued at the moment. Very fine tannins. Blind, I thought this could be the 2000!

Deep dark red brilliant color. Intense nose. Complex and fresh. Red and black berries. Peppery spices. Tabaco, cedar, fresh leather, liquorice and menthol. Truffle and gravely mineral flavors. On the palate: Wonderful silky tannins. Concentration of fruity flesh. Elegant and distinguished. Long finish. Great class and balance. Drink 2014-2020
Ruby. Some figs, prunes, red berries, cassis, touch of leather and tobacco nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, leaner, elegant and nuanced, ever so slightly dry finish, still some bite to the structure, long. 93
