In a year of scorching Tuscan heat and relentless drought, the vines dug deep, producing a wine of ferocious concentrationand midnight-dark fruit.
When poured, it is nearly opaque—a deep, ink-like purple. The nose is an explosive landscape of sun-baked rosemary, crushed blackberries, and a hit of dark espresso. On the palate, it feels massive yet seamless; imagine a heavyweight boxer in a silk suit. It hits with flavors of cassis and black truffle, held together by tannins that feel like molten chocolate.
It finishes with a cool, stony mineral streak—a surprising breath of fresh air after such an intense, velvety storm.
