Mas La Plana is a 29-hectare vineyard located in the heart of Penedès. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted by Miguel A. Torres back in 1966. The vineyard has very deep, dark and yellowish brown soils. The topsoil is rich in sand and stones while the subsoil is gravel.

A benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon from Penedès, the 2020 Mas La Plana delivers concentration, purity and refined structure. The nose is layered and expressive, opening with deep blackcurrant, black cherry and plum, interwoven with notes of graphite, cedar and tobacco leaf. Subtle hints of dark chocolate, dried herbs and sweet spice add nuance.
On the palate, it is full-bodied with a firm yet polished frame. Rich dark fruit is supported by ripe, finely textured tannins and vibrant acidity that give both strength and drive. Savoury elements of black pepper, leather and mineral notes add depth and complexity through the mid-palate, while oak is seamlessly integrated, enhancing breadth without masking fruit expression.
The finish is long, structured and persistent, with lingering cassis, spice and a refined mineral undertone. A commanding, terroir-informed Cabernet that balances power with elegance and will reward careful cellaring.
