The Story

The pleasure derived from tasting Yquem is difficult to describe.

It offers a myriad of well-balanced, complex flavours that generate even more harmonies over time. The impression that remains is reminiscent of a quote from Frédéric Dard "the silence that follows a piece by Mozart, in which the listener remains suffused with the music". Protected by kings

Château d’Yquem’s first harvest took place three hundred years earlier, in 1593, when Jacques de Sauvage purchased the estate from the crown. Written Notes

Orange brown. Had nose of caraway, burnt rubber and old honey, some orange peel on the palate with nice structure and length. Harmonious wine, which still holds all ingredients together, but the time is running out.

D 30 min / G 2 h Bright, amber golden colour. A complex, intense, and wonderfully rich nose with apricot marmelade, honey and touch of varnish. The sweet and full-bodied palate reveals a great concentration with intense chocolate flavours. Velvety long and a harmonious finish. Amazing wine with seductively toasty, cappuccino finish.
