Uneventful flowering was followed by exceptionally hot and sunny weather, which lasted until August. Nose starts out very muted and elusive with just the slightest toasty notes, pear, yellow plums and minerals. With air more spicy notes develops but it just doesn’t really opens up.
Medium bodied with a sweet, dosage driven attack that turns into a smooth and vibrant mid-palate full of minerality, grapefruit, apples and just the faintest hints of spices and toast. Rich today but with good balance and fine minerality. Looks promising.

Specialtappning direkt från Taittingers källare i Reims. Degorgerade i dec’11, med direkt påföljande buteljering. Dosage 9 gram socker per liter. Stora initiala drag av röda vinteräpplen(!) Va känner en doft som påminner om riktigt bra Blanc de noirs …. Mycket konfunderat … I London undrade man om man inte har funderat på att släppa viner i icke-kronologisk ordning. Mycket ren och outvecklad ännu. Känns väldigt naken och ofärdig, men den äppliga doften backas snyggt upp av en välbyggd längd och strukturell skönhet för framtida upplevelser. Det är alltid lite underligt att prova fina men ofärdiga viner tillsammans med goda vänner som förväntar sig ren njutning.
