As a tribute to his father, he had established The Pierre Taittinger Culinary Prize in 1967. The competing masters of culinary arts, whom he deemed craftsmen and imaginative artists, sparked inspiration in him as they managed to turn something as commonplace as cooking into an art. He thought...

Written Notes

Deep apricot-hued colour. Slightly dusty nose of autumn apple, mushroomy notes and peach. Lively effervescence on the rather sharp palate. Restrainedly aggreesive mouth-feel and a youthful feel to it. The pungent finish takes away from the wine’s overall harmony.
  • 93p
Little hazy, golden yellow colour. Intense, oxidative, nutty, mushroomy and rich toasty nose. Dry, crisp, fresh palate with nice complexity. Long lingering finish with nutty and butterscotch character.
